Maputo Port Development Company (MPDC), a joint venture company comprising Mozambique State-owned rail operator Caminhos de Ferro de Moçambique (CFM), South Africa’s Grindrod and multinational logistics company Dubai Port World.

Project Description
The project aims to expand the container terminal’s capacity to one-million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), the quay length to 655 m, the length overall to 366 m, the terminal size to 30 ha, the depth alongside to 16 m chart datum, the container yard to 5 000 TEU ground slots, the rail siding to 4 m × 750 m, reefer points to 800 (415 V, three-phase alternating current), the quay cranes to six ship-to-shore (65 m outreach) cranes/mobile harbour cranes, and rubber-tyred gantry cranes to 24.
